SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team (5-4-1, 2-2-0 Sun Belt) is back home at the Bobcat Soccer Complex this weekend beginning with a match against Arkansas State (5-3-1, 2-0-0 Sun Belt) on Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

About Texas State
The Bobcats is coming off a weekend in which they dropped matches to South Alabama and Troy.
Mya Ulloa paced the team with seven shots attempts, six of which were on goal, over the two matches. TXST is currently tied for third in the Sun Belt Conference standings with the Red Wolves as both teams are a point behind Georgia State and South Alabama.
Netting a team-high two goals apiece has been

Olivia Wright and Ulloa. Credited with a team leading three assists has been
Kamaria Williams, Gonzales and Ulloa.
Beth Agee has made seven starts in goal and sports a 0.98 GAA, 38 saves and a .844 save percentage.
Katelyn Chrisman made her third start between the posts against Troy. She has recorded a 1.24 GAA with eight saves and a .667 save percentage.
About Arkansas State
ASU is coming off a 2-1 overtime victory over Georgia Southern back on Thursday, Sept. 23 at home. The Red Wolves opened conference play with a 3-2 win over South Alabama in Jonesboro. Those are the only two contests in which ASU has scored multiple goals this season. On the road, it has a 2-1-1 record.
Just four players have found the back of the net led by Sarah Sodoma and Aliyah Williamson with three goals apiece. Also scoring has been Emma Riley and Abigail Miller with two and one goals, respectively.
Coming in with a team leading two assists are Haley Husted and Olivia Smith. Sodoma paces the squad with 27 shots and nine shots on goal.
Megan McClure has played all 838:39 minutes in goal for the Red Wolves. She comes in with a 0.86 GAA, having surrendered eight goals, while making 47 saves for a .855 save percentage.
All-Time Series
The all-time series is tied 5-5-1 with Arkansas State being undefeated in the last four meetings at 3-0-1. Last season saw the Red Wolves win both meetings with a 2-0 victory in Jonesboro and a 1-0 double overtime contest in San Marcos that ended on a controversially awarded penalty kick.
Last time Texas State won in the series was Sept. 30, 2018 at the Bobcat Soccer Complex by a score of 2-1. Both goals were scored by Kaylee Davis.
When hosting the Red Wolves, the Bobcats are 3-2-0 all-time.
