SAN MARCOS, Texas — For the first time in program history, the Texas State Athletic Department's production team will broadcast on ESPN+ a "Live at Training Camp" special from Bobcat Stadium on Tuesday, Aug. 17. 

Slated to begin at 10:45 a.m. (CST), Tuesday's program, hosted by Bobcat announcer Brant Freeman, will feature a conversation on the upcoming 2021 Texas State football season, provide analysis on the Bobcats, discuss the current landscape of the Sun Belt Conference and more. Additionally, Texas State football head coach Jake Spavital and senior defensive lineman Caeveon Patton will join Freeman on set to discuss the ongoing 2021 training camp and preview the upcoming football season.

Texas State opens its 2021 season on Sept. 4 when the Bobcats host the Baylor Bears — for the first time in school history — at Bobcat Stadium at 6 p.m. (CST). The Bobcats will have five additional home games to round out their home slate: Incarnate Word (Sept. 18), South Alabama (Oct. 9), Troy (Oct. 16), ULM (Nov. 6) and Georgia Southern (Nov. 13).
