SAN MARCOS, Texas –The Texas State women's tennis team will play a pair of non-conference midweek matches on Tuesday and Wednesday when the Bobcats travel to No. 2 Texas .
Texas State (5-7, 0-4 in the Sun Belt) travels to Austin on Tuesday to play at No. 2 Texas (16-1, 5-0 Big 12) at 2 p.m. in the Texas Tennis Center.
LOOKING AT TUESDAY'S MATCH
Texas State enters the Texas match after splitting its last two contests with a 4-1 victory at Tarleton State on Mar. 27 and suffering a 4-0 loss at UT Arlington on Sunday. The Bobcats have a 5-3 record in non-conference play this season.
The Bobcats will face a juggernaut in Texas as the Longhorns enter the match with a 16-1 record and feature five players among the current Oracle ITA national Top 125 singles rankings (March 24. They are

KVAPILOVA LEADS THE BOBCATS
Senior
Hana Kvapilova leads Texas State with a 10-1 record in dual matches this spring after posting her ninth-straight victory in No. 1 singles at Tarleton State. She was leading in her contest at UTA before it was halted. Kvapilova and
Rishona Israel-Lewis have an 8-1 record as Texas State's top-seeded doubles team. They have won seven straight matches. Israel-Lewis is 3-4 in No. 2 singles matches this season.
Renata Gonzalez has a 5-4 record in No. 6 singles matches after winning two of her previous three matches. Her wins came against Arkansas State and Tarleton State.
WHAT'S NEXT
Texas State has three more road contests before returning to the Bobcat Tennis Complex for their final home match of the season. The Bobcats play at Louisiana on April 3, ULM on April 4, and UTSA on April 9. Texas State closes out the regular season with a home match against UTA on April 10.
