Women’s Tennis Team Hosts Arkansas State on Sunday at 10 a.m.

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's tennis team returns to action on Sunday when the Bobcats host Arkansas State in a Sun Belt Conference match at the Bobcat Tennis Complex beginning at 10 a.m.
 
The Bobcats (4-5, 0-2 in Sun Belt) are looking for their first conference win and their fourth home victory in the last five outings against the Red Wolves (3-4, 1-2 in Sun Belt). Texas State enters the match having dropped its first two conference matches after suffering a 5-2 loss against ULM on March 15. The Bobcats opened Sun Belt play with a 4-3 setback at Arkansas State on March 7.
 
KVAPILOVA LEADS THE BOBCATS
Senior Hana Kvapilova leads Texas State after winning her seventh straight victory in No. 1 singles against ULM. Andrea Fuchs won six consecutive No. 4 matches before suffering an injury against ULM. Rishona Israel-Lewis evened her record to 3-3 in No. 2 contests with a victory against ULM. Kvapilova and Israel-Lewis also have a 6-1 record in No. 1 doubles to lead Texas State.
 
A GLANCE AT ARKANSAS STATE
The Red Wolves began a two-match road trip to Texas with a 7-0 loss at UT Arlington on Saturday after winning two straight matches against Texas State and Missouri State (4-3) on March 12. They also fell 4-0 against UTA in Jonesboro on March 3. Thea Rice leads the Red Wolves with a 3-3 record in singles matches, including a 2-0 mark in No. 2 singles.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
Texas State will play seven straight contests on the road following Sunday's match. The Bobcats begin the road trip with matches at Tarleton State on March 27, UT Arlington on March 28, and No. 2 Texas on March 30.
