Box Score SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State claimed its first win of the dual season after blanking UTRGV 7-0 Sunday morning at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
 
Seniors Hana Kavapilova and Rishona Israel-Lewis defeated freshmen Isabelle Bahr and Valeria Montero 6-4 on the tops doubles court, and seniors Sofia Murcia-Rodriguez and Andrea Fuchs secured the doubles point with a 6-2 decision over sophomore Ana Platisa and freshman Kristyna Mamicova on the second doubles flight.
 
Kvapilova earned the come-from-behind victory on the top singles court against Bahr, 2-6, 7-6 (3-0), 1-0 (10-2), and Chacadyah Israel-Lewis knocked off sophomore Katarina Sasaroga in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Both Kvapilova and C. Israel-Lewis lead the Bobcats with two singles victories this season. Graduate Nikita Pradeep also picked up her first career singles win as a Bobcat after downing Platisa 6-4, 6-2 on court No. 3.
 
Texas State returns to the court at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12 to face UIW at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
