Box Score SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State fell to North Texas 5-2 on Wednesday afternoon at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
 
The Mean Green (4-5) took the doubles point by clinching court No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Court No. 1 went unfinished with seniors Hana Kvapilova and Rishona Israel-Lewis leading junior Lucie Devier and Nidhi Surapaneni, 5-3.
 
UNT won the second singles flight after R. Israel-Lewis retired after the first set (2-3) court No. 2, but Kvapilova registered the first point for the Bobcats (1-3) as she dominated Devier on the top singles court 6-0, 6-2. The Mean Green answered with a pair of victories on court No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, to clinch the match 4-1.
 
Both teams agreed to play the remainder of the match, and senior Andrea Fuchs pulled off the come-from-behind victory over sophomore Kexuan Zhou, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 on the fourth singles court. UNT closed the match with a three-set win on court No. 3.   
 
Texas State will play Tarleton State at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
