FORT WORTH, Texas- Senior
Hana Kvapilova couldn't overcome a pair of formidable challenges on Saturday as she dropped her singles and doubles matches against nationally-ranked foes at the ITA Texas Regional Championships.

Kvapilova advanced to the Round of 16 in the main singles draw before falling in a three-set match against No. 8-seeded Jayci Goldsmith of Texas A&M. Goldsmith won the first set, 6-1, but Kvapilova came back to capture the second set, 6-3. The third set went back and forth until Kvapilova fell, 10-6, giving the victory to Goldsmith.

Kvapilova began Saturday teaming with
Rishona Israel-Lewis and falling 8-4 against the No. 2-seeded team Alicia Herrero Linana and Mel Krywoj of Baylor.

Texas State will have three consolation matches to play on Sunday.
Kate Malazonia and
Mae McCutcheon, along with
Jadeh Chan and
Sofia Fortuno, will play Round of 16 consolation doubles matches.

Chan will play a round of 16 consolation singles match against Likhitha Kalava of North Texas in the women's open draw.
