SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team is excited to announce to participate in Goals2Cure^TM for the fourth consecutive year. The foundation was established by head coach Kat Conner to promote ovarian cancer awareness and raise funds in support of women battling ovarian cancer and ovarian cancer research.

Like Coach Conner, many women courageously battle ovarian cancer every day. Too often survivors struggle to afford the treatments and resources necessary to improve and maintain quality of life. Funding ovarian cancer research remains critical to early detection and finding a cure. Together, we can team up to help.

The coaches and players are collecting pledges for each goal the Bobcats score this season. All proceeds go directly to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC), benefiting programs that assist women battling ovarian cancer and supporting ovarian cancer research.

We ask that you pledge to contribute a set amount for each goal the team scores this season, or you may choose to make a one-time donation. Pledge levels include:

• $1.00 per goal
• $3.00 per goal
• $5.00 per goal
• $7.00 per goal

This year the team is projected to score around 15 goals, and hopefully more, for the shortened campaign. Goals scored during postseason play add to our count as well.

The season opener on September 4 against Stephen F. Austin not only kicks off our awareness and fundraising campaign but also is designated as the 2020 Fourth Annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Match.

In the first three years of Goals2Cure, the Bobcats are extremely proud to have donated $10,395 to ovarian cancer charities. So please join us again for our fourth campaign and make this our strongest year yet as the Texas State soccer team carries on its mission scoring Goals2Cure^TM and support courageous women everywhere battling ovarian cancer!
