AUSTIN, Texas – Texas State women golfers Matilda Cederholm and Halle Whitney began their collegiate careers on Saturday at the Betsy Rawls Invitational.

INDIVIDUALS
Starting on the 16th hole, Whitney began her first round with birdies on two of the first three holes. She would go on to card eight pars over her final 15 holes to shoot a 79 (+7). The Magnolia, Texas native pared the first seven holes of her second round before posting eight bogeys over the last 11 holes to card an 80 (+8).
 
Cederholm opened her first round with a par and birdie. She went on to finish the first 18 holes with an 81 (+9). The Lomma, Sweden native followed with an 80 (+8) in the second round that included a birdie on the par 4, 385-yard seventh hole.

ROUND 3 TEE TIMES
The two freshmen will tee on the 15 and 16 holes for the final round with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m.
