SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's tennis will play its final home match of the 2019 season when the Bobcats host intrastate rival UT Arlington at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Texas State Tennis Complex.

The Bobcats (6-10, 2-5 in Sun Belt) defeated Arkansas State 4-0 last Saturday on the Texas Indoor Courts when the Bobcats honored its three senior players (
Ana Perez,
Joy Chia Ming Ming and
Julia Navajo-Melendez).
Perez leads the Bobcats in wins and became the third Sun Belt Conference player to win 10 matches this season. She enters Tuesday's match with a 10-5 record this season.
Chia Ming Ming has a 7-7 singles record, including a 5-2 mark in No. 5 matches this season. She also is 2-3 in No. 4 matches after posting a three-set win against Arkansas State. Navajo-Melendez is 6-6 in No. 3 singles matches after posting a three-set victory against Arkansas State. She and Perez have combined for a 5-4 record in No. 1 singles matches.
Rishona Israel-Lewis has won nine No. 2 singles matches this season and has teamed with Chia Ming Ming for a 3-2 record in No 2 doubles matches.
SCOUTING UTA
UTA (13-7, 4-2 Sun Belt) is looking to clinch a spot in the Sun Belt Tournament after winning its third straight match with a 4-0 victory over Arkansas State last Sunday. Five Mavericks have recorded double-digit wins this season. Lucia Natal and Nanaka Takeuchi lead the Mavericks with 12 victories, while Carla Pons has 11 wins, and Liz Cheleno and Almudena Boza have won 10 matches.

Following Tuesday's match, Texas State closes out the regular season with matches at Coastal Carolina on April 12 and at Appalachian State on April 14.
