SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's tennis team returns to the Bobcat Tennis Center to host Northwestern State at 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
Texas State (2-2) enters the match seeking its third win of the season and looking to rebound from a pair of hard-fought 4-3 losses at Xavier-Louisiana on Jan. 26, and in its home opener against Presbyterian on Feb. 1. The Bobcats won three of the six singles matches after dropping the doubles point against both Xavier and Presbyterian. Texas State's last match against Prairie View A&M was canceled due to the courts being wet.
The Bobcats opened the season winning matches at LSU Alexandria (7-0 on Jan. 25) and Nicholls State (6-1 on Jan. 26).
Northwestern State enters Sunday's match with a 3-1 record after winning its last three matches against Louisiana (4-1 on Feb. 2), Jackson State (7-0 on Feb. 3), and LSU Alexandria (7-0) on Feb. 3). The Lady Demons opened their spring schedule with a loss at Tulane (4-3 on Jan. 18).
