SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State football team plays its final home game of the 2019 season when the Bobcats host Troy in a Sun Belt Conference contest that begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. The contest will be televised on ESPN3.
Texas State enters the game with a 3-6 overall record and a 2-3 mark in Sun Belt Conference. Troy has a 4-5 overall record and owns a 2-3 Sun Belt mark. The Bobcats are looking to win their second straight home game and third win in the last four home games against Troy. The Trojans enter the game after having defeated Georgia Southern 49-28 on Nov. 9.

SETTING THE SCENE
Texas State's win over South Alabama gives the Bobcats their second Sun Belt Conference win of the season. It marks the first time since 2015 that the Bobcats have won multiple Sun Belt contests in a season. The win over USA came after the Bobcats suffered three straight losses against ULM, Arkansas State, and Louisiana. Texas State won its two previous games against Georgia State and Nicholls.
Troy's victory over Georgia Southern came after the Trojans suffered losses at Georgia State and Coastal Carolina. Troy defeated South Alabama 37-13 at home on Oct. 16.
Saturday's game marks the final home game for 22 seniors. The seniors are linebacker

The Texas State "T" Association is holding its 2019 Athletics Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony this weekend. This year's class includes the first athletics trainer inductee, Dr. Bobby Patton, track and field star Inez Turner, football standout David Vela, and former head coach and athletic director Jim Wacker. Induction into the Hall of Honor is the highest athletics accolade to be bestowed upon Texas State Athletics alumni. The inductees will be recognized during halftime of Saturday's game.
SCOUTING TEXAS STATE
Bryan London II enters the Troy game with 430 career tackles and ranks second in the Sun Belt Conference with 9.9 tackles per game this season. London II is the first Sun Belt Conference player in league history to record 400 career tackles.
Nikolas Daniels tallied a game-high 10 tackles against South Alabama and ranks ninth among Sun Belt Conference leaders with 7.8 tackles per game. He is eighth among Sun Belt leaders with 8.5 tackles for loss, and seventh among Sun Belt leaders with 4.0 sacks per game. He also leads the Bobcats with three quarterback hurries.
Frankie Griffin had eight tackles against South Alabama and logged a season-high 11 tackles at Louisiana after returning to Texas State's starting lineup at Arkansas State. He recorded three stops against ASU.
Senior wide receiver
Hutch White was named the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week on Nov. 11 after netting 234 all-purpose yards in Texas State's 30-28 victory over South Alabama. His 234 yards are the second-highest total in a Sun Belt Conference game this season and mark the first time a Bobcat has recorded 200 yards in a game since 2015. White averaged 31.0 yards on two kickoff returns, one punt for four yards, ran one time for three and caught 10 passes for 165 yards. White's 165 receiving yards are the second-highest total in the Sun Belt Conference this season, the eighth-highest total in school history, and the most by a Texas State receiver since 2010. His 10 receptions also equal his career-high for most receptions in a game.
Sophomore
Tyler Vitt was named an Honorable Mention for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award's Player of the Week selection after completing 23-of-33 passes for 373 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in Texas State's 30-28 victory against South Alabama
. Vitt led Texas State with 42 yards rushing on 11 carries. That performance came after Vitt made his third start of the season at Louisiana and completed 24 of 34 passes for a season-high 206 yards and two interceptions. Vitt also led the Bobcats with 38 yards rushing on 10 carries.
Senior
Aaron Brewer has been a constant fixture on Texas State's offensive line in the last four seasons. He enters the Troy game after starting 44 consecutive games.
SCOUTING THE TROJANS
Troy is coming off its best performance of the season with a 49-28 homecoming victory over Georgia Southern. The Trojans enter Saturday's game with 4,306 yards of total offense. The Trojans are led by senior quarterback Kaleb Barker, who has completed 230 of 344 passes for 2,806 yards and 24 touchdowns this season.
His favorite target is Kaylon Geiger, who has 60 receptions for 741 yards and five touchdowns. Khalil McClain has 36 receptions for 448 yards and six touchdowns, and Reggie Todd has 30 catches for 513 yards and four touchdowns.
On the ground, D.K. Billingsley has 779 yards and nine touchdowns on 128 yards.
TEXAS STATE IN BOBCAT STADIUM
Texas State will enter the Troy game with a 127-102 record in home games at Bobcat Stadium and is looking to win its fourth home game in a season for the first time since 2013. The Bobcats have three wins in their last four home contests. Texas State defeated Georgia State, Nicholls, and South Alabama this season while dropping their two games against ULM and Wyoming.
