SAN MARCOS, Texas – A total of 16 Texas State football student-athletes earned recognition on Phil Steele's 2026 Preseason All-Pac-12 Teams ahead of the Bobcats' inaugural season in the league.
Texas State placed four student-athletes on the first team, lead by offensive selections
Brad Jackson,
Beau Sparks and
Chris Dawn, Jr., as well as defensive standout
DonTerry Russell.
On offense,
Torrance Burgess Jr. and
Justin DeLeon earned third-team recognition, while
Blake Smith and
Sully Burns were named to the fourth team. Defensively,
Chancellor Owens,
Tae Woody,
Jo'Laison Landry,
Terrence Cooks II and
Jayden Bradley received second-team honors, while
Javante Mackey and
Trez Moore were recognized on the fourth team.
Jaylen Jenkins added second-team honors as a kick returner.
The Bobcats finished the 2025 season as champions of the
Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl after defeating Rice 41-10 on Jan. 2. TXST has now won three straight bowl games and put together a seven-plus win season for the third consecutive year for the first time since the early 1980s. Head Coach
GJ Kinne won his 23rd game as a Bobcat, making him the winningest D1 coach (min. 3 seasons) at TXST at .590.
Dawn, Jr., Sparks, Jenkins and Jackson, who was also a semifinalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award honoring the nation's top offensive player with ties to the state of Texas, return for the Bobcats as 2025 all-conference selections.

Season tickets for the 2026 campaign are now available through
Texas State Athletics Ticket Office and include admission to all seven home games at UFCU Stadium. Mini plans are also on sale with single game tickets becoming available on July 1.
