NORMAN, Okla. – The Texas State's women's golf team concluded the Schooner Fall Classic in 15th place after posting a three-round score of 306+290+295=891 (+39) as a team at the par-71 6,063-yard Belmar Golf Course.
"I walked with Sasikarn today and I saw some great things to build on for the remainder of the fall season," head women's golf coach
Lisa Strom said. "She has not been on form this fall but with some dedication on her part and help from her coaching staff, I am confident she can be better than before. She strung 10 awesome holes together today and the challenge is to focus on that as well as to give the effort and time to really turn the corner. It is like she is getting an update and 'Aom 3.0' will be even better than before."
Alabama, the defending NCAA runner-up, cruised to a team championship after shooting a 272+262+273=807 (-45) to establish a new NCAA record-low 54-hole team mark. The Crimson Tide held a 10-stroke advantage over Texas heading into the final round of action and before finishing the tournament 17-strokes ahead of the Longhorns. UT ended the tournament in second place in the team standings after scoring 272+272+280=824 (-28) over the three-day tournament. Host Oklahoma finished the tournament in third place with a score of 289+267+275=831 (-21).

"Although I did not see the other play today, I know Sean continues to beat her scoring average from last season," Strom said. "Each day she does that, she inches a little bit closer to a new comfort zone. Geraldine managed her way around a golf course that played very long for her. One thing she does really well is that she plays within herself and does not try to do something she is not made to do yet."
