SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State tennis team concludes its 2018 fall schedule on Oct. 27 when the Bobcats host their annual Texas State Play Day Tournament at the Bobcat Tennis Complex. Texas State will compete against players from Prairie View A&M, Stephen F. Austin and Trinity in a round-robin format.
Each player will compete in a doubles match and two singles matches with prizes awarded for the top three individuals. The tournament starts with seven doubles matches beginning at 9 a.m.

The Bobcats have three doubles teams and seven individual players competing in the tournament. In the doubles matches,
Ana Perez and
Julia Navajo-Melendez will play against Gabi Guilarte and Darinka Tiboldi of Stephen F. Austin.
Josefina Cassara and
Sofia Murcia-Rodriguez face Zoe and Mary Kaffen of Trinity, while
Joy Chia Ming Ming and
Rishona Israel-Lewis compete versus Neharika Rama and Lucia Garcia of Prairie View A&M.

In singles matches, Cassara battles Claudia Andrea Medina of Prairie View A&M. Perez plays against Caroline Kutach of Trinity, and Israel-Lewis competes against Darinka Tiboldi of Stephen F. Austin. Navajo-Melendez squares off against Kaja Ljubic of SFA, while
Andrea Fuchs faces Mahogani Green of Prairie View A&M and Murcia-Rodriguez will play against Armelle Cerdan of SFA.

In the second round of singles matches, Navajo-Melendez faces Rama, Perez squares off against Lucia Garcia of Prairie View A&M, and Israel-Lewis competes against Megan Flores of Trinity. In other matches, Cassara faced Jimena Duran-Castellanos of Prairie View A&M, Fuchs plays against Mary Kaffen of Trinity and Murcia-Rodriguez battles against Hanna Rafferty.
