AUSTIN, Texas – Due to wet courts from overnight fog, the Texas State women's tennis match at No. 12-ranked Texas has relocated and will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The match will be played off campus at the Weller Tennis Center located at the UT Golf Club.
The contest is the first dual match for Texas State this spring. The Bobcats return four players from 2017. They are senior
Alex Jones and juniors
Joy Chia Ming Ming,
Julia Navajo-Melendez and
Ana Perez. They will be joined by freshmen
Andrea Fuchs,
Flavia Gutierrez-Balcazar,
Rishona Israel-Lewis and
Sofia Murcia-Rodriguez.
Texas enters the match with its highest team ranking since 2013 when it was ranked 12
th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) preseason poll. The Longhorns return five of six singles starters from 2017.
