SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State football team looks to win its second-straight game and second home game of the season when the Bobcats celebrate Homecoming against New Mexico State in a Sun Belt Conference game at Bobcat Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 4. The game kicks off at 2 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN3 with David Saltzman and Stanford Routt calling the action.

The Bobcats enter the New Mexico State game with a 2-6 overall record and are looking to win their second-straight Sun Belt Conference game after a 27-7 victory at Coastal Carolina last week.
Texas State enters Saturday's game looking to improve its all-time record of 46-33-1 in Homecoming games.
About New Mexico State
New Mexico State enters Saturday's game with a 3-5 overall record and a 1-3 mark in Sun Belt Conference games after falling 37-21 against Arkansas State on Oct. 28. The Aggies also dropped a 27-24 decision against Troy on Sept. 16 and a 45-31 outcome at Appalachian State on Oct. 7. New Mexico State beat Georgia Southern, 35-27, on Oct. 14 in Statesboro.
Texas State vs. New Mexico State Series
Texas State will be looking to improve its series record to 3-2 against New Mexico State after dropping its last two games against the Aggies.
The Bobcats are 1-1 versus New Mexico State in Bobcat Stadium after beginning the series with a 66-28 triumph on Dec. 1, 2012 and falling 31-21 in the 2015 Homecoming game. Texas State also dropped a 50-10 decision in Las Cruces last year. That game was played after the Bobcats were involved in a bus accident between the cities of El Paso and Las Cruces.
What's Next?
Following the New Mexico game, Texas State returns to Bobcat Stadium for its final home game of the 2017 season when the Bobcats host Georgia State at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 11. Texas State will be celebrating Heroes Day to honor first responders along with military veterans, both active and retired. The Bobcats will also honor 2017 senior members of the football team who will be playing in their final home game and inductees into the "T" Association Hall of Honor.
