TROY, Ala. – The Texas State women's basketball will wrap up its three-game road swing Saturday afternoon with a contest against the Troy Trojans at Trojan Arena. The Bobcats are coming off of an 18-point comeback victory over South Alabama, a comeback that marks the largest for Coach Z since arriving at Texas State in 2011.
The Bobcats are 8-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play where they are currently sitting in fourth place. The victory against South Alabama improved Texas State to 6-0 against the Jaguars all-time dating back to the 1995 season.

Kiani Lurry,
Kaitlin Walla, and
Raven Burns all scored in double-digits for the 'Cats against South Alabama. Anderson connected on three 3's to score a season-high 13 points for Texas State. She now sits 10 points shy of eclipsing 1,000 points in her Texas State career. When she does so, she will be the fourth player under head coach
Zenarae Antoine to achieve the milestone.
Texas State comes into Saturday's game with a 3-1 overall record against Troy. The Bobcats won the first three meetings before falling to Troy at home last season. Overall, Texas State is 2-0 at Trojan Arena including a 74-72 victory on Dec. 30, 2014.
A Look At The Competition – Troy Troy comes into the Saturday match-up with a 9-5 overall record and 4-1 mark in Sun Belt Conference play. The Trojans are riding on a four-game winning streak dating back to a 78-71 win over Little Rock on Jan. 2.
On Thursday, the Trojans defeated UT Arlington at home by a score of 88-71. At home, Troy is 5-1 this season with the lone loss coming against Arkansas State in the Sun Belt Conference opener.
Nationally, the Trojans are ranked 5
th in the nation in team scoring and senior guard Ashley Beverly Kelley ranks 24
th overall. Beverly Kelley, a preseason First-Team All-Sun Belt selection, leads the Trojans with 20.2 points per contest. She is also an 85.7 percent free throw shooter and is second on the team with 23 3's this year.
The Trojans lead the Sun Belt Conference in scoring with 85.4 points per game. Troy has scored at least 80 points nine times this year. When Troy has scored 80 or more, they are 7-2 this season.
For the year, Troy is a 43.5 percent shooting team from the floor. They also are a 72.2 percent free throw shooting team, a mark that ranks them at the top of the conference. Troy is under the direction of head coach Chanda Rigby.
