NATCHITOCHES, La. -- After a storm came through and halted play in the 34th minute, the Texas State soccer team's match against Northwestern State Friday evening has been called and will be ruled a no contest. The storm forced a power outage and lightning that continued during the delay forced officials to call the match.

Texas State held a 3-0 lead with 11 minutes remaining in the first half thanks to a pair of goals by junior Lauren Prater and a goal from Lynsey Curry. Due to the called contest, all stats collected from the match will not count. A match must be played past the 70th-minute mark to become official.

The Bobcats will now continue their road trip back to Texas as they prep to take on Stephen F. Austin on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off against the Ladyjacks is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Nacogdoches, Texas.
