SAN MARCOS, Texas -- The Texas State soccer team preps to hit the road for a single-match against the Lamar Cardinals on Friday evening. Kick-off at the Lamar Soccer Complex is schedule for 7 p.m.

Tori Hale has been the primary offensive spark for the Bobcats. She has scored a team-high three goals in four games.

In her time with Texas State, she has scored eight goals and in 2013, she tied the single-season record of assists with nine. In her career, she has recorded 15 assists, which is just two shy of the program record.
A Look At The CompetitionLamar enters Friday's contest with a 1-3-0 overall record. Kimmy Albeno and Alexus Aviles each have recorded a goal for the Cardinals. Albeno led the Cardinals in 2013 with eight goals.
Bailey Fontenot has started and played in all four games for the Cardinals, recording 348:35 minutes in goal with five goals allowed. She has faced 72 shots so far this season. Fontenot also enters the weekend with 11 career shutouts, which is just one shy of the Lamar school record.
The last time that the Bobcats took on the Cardinals was in 2011. Texas State defeated Lamar by a score of 2-0 in San Marcos.
In five games, the Bobcats have allowed just one goal for Lamar while scoring 12. The largest margin of victory was in 2008 when Texas State won by a score of 4-0.
