Player To Watch: Elizabeth Havenhill

On the box score, defenders are generally the players who won't have many shot marks or goals by their name, therefore unless you watch them play it's hard to get an accurate idea of how they are performing. Head coach Kat Conner doesn't need to see statistics to have an idea of the impact freshman Elizabeth Havenhill has had on her backline.

"First of all, Liz is a great athlete," mentioned Conner. "She's a great soccer player in the sense that she reads the game very well and understands next move."

Havenhill has played a total of 812 minutes thus far, just three minutes shy of goalkeeper Caitlynn Rinehart for the most on the Bobcat squad. In addition to all of her minutes, she has earned the start in all nine contests so far this season. Havenhill and her backline, in addition to Rinehart, have contributed to five shutouts this season, topping last year's total of four.

Coach Conner Quotes
What do you think about your team so far this year?
I think our team is very talented and we have a lot of great players. I think that right now we are trying to get the most out of them. If we don't vie for a tournament then we wouldn't be making the most out of the talent that we have.

How do you feel about Arkansas State and how they will compete this weekend?
They are very athletic and very good. They are very dangerous as they have two front runners up top that can be deadly. We are going to have to be very disciplined when playing them.
