SAN MARCOS, Texas -- The Texas State softball game against Incarnate Word originally scheduled on Wednesday night has been cancelled due to weather with no game rescheduled at this point. The game, originally scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, was the only scheduled game this season against the Cardinals.
 
The Bobcats will now focus their sights for the upcoming weekend as they travel to Gulfport, Miss. for the Gulfport Classic. Texas State will begin play on February 28 with a contest against Memphis.
 
Other schools at the Gulfport Classic include No. 12 Baylor, Ohio, Nicholls State, and Mississippi State.  This will be the final tournament for the Bobcats during the 2014 regular season.
 
The Bobcats will return to San Marcos on March 5 for a contest against No. 13 Texas A&M to kick off a stretch of six home games in six days.
