San Jose, Calif. - The Texas State women's tennis team won four singles matches as the Bobcats won their second Western Athletic Conference match of the season with a 4-3 victory over New Mexico State at the Spartan Tennis Complex on Friday morning.
 
Junior Jessica Kahts improved her dual match record to 7-2 in No. 1 singles matches this spring with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Jodie Williams on the No. 1 court. She is 3-0 against WAC opponents this spring.
 
Monica Pieratt won her second match and improved her No. 3 singles record to 2-3 with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Denise Van Der Ben. Pieratt is 5-5 overall in dual matches this spring.
 
Rachel Baldree won a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 decision over Annemieke Witte in the No. 4 match to  improve to 3-2 in No. 4 dual matches.
 
Bérénice Van den Bergh won the fourth match for Texas State on Saturday with a 6-2, 6-4 victory in the No. 6 match. Van den Bergh improved to 4-3 overall in dual matches this season.
 
The victory improves Texas State's record to 5-5 overall and 2-1 against WAC teams this spring. The Bobcats will play its third match in three days when Texas State plays Seattle on Sunday afternoon in San Jose.
