Women's Basketball Plays Denver In First Round of the WAC Tournament

Notes

Las Vegas, Nev. –
Texas State women's basketball team begins play in the first round of the WAC Tournament, Tuesday afternoon, against the University of Denver at 2:00 p.m., central, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The Bobcats are coming off their most impressive offensive display of the season, putting up 100 points against San Jose State in the regular season finale on Saturday. That is the most points the Bobcats have scored against a Division I opponent since 1988 against UT-Pan American.

Denver comes into the game as the No. 7 seed in the tournament. The Pioneers have lost five of their last seven games since last playing the Bobcats in Denver in early February. Texas State did not have junior post player Ashley Ezeh available for that most recent contest.

The game will be broadcast on 89.9 FM KTSW. If Texas State advances, it will play No. 2 seed Utah State on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m., central time.
