San Marcos, Texas - The Texas State soccer team wraps up its non conference season on Friday night as it plays Texas Southern. The game is the third in a stretch of five straight home games, ending with the opening weekend of WAC play next week.
The Bobcats have struggled recently dropping their last five contests. The streak is the longest for the program since 2006, when it dropped six straight. During the stretch, Lynsey Curry has stepped up offensively, with six shots on Sunday against McNeese State.
Texas Southern comes into Friday's game, also in need of a win, entering the contest 1-7. The Tigers are on a two game losing streak, with their lone win of the season coming at Huston Tillotson on Sept. 7, 2-1.
Following Friday's game the Bobcats will have seven days off before playing their first conference game of the season, Sept. 28 against Idaho at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
