San Marcos, Texas – Texas State will take on its final midweek opponent of the 2012 season on Tuesday when the Bobcats head to College Station for a 6:30 p.m. game against No. 6 Texas A&M. The Bobcats will look to improve upon a 6-5 record against ranked opponents and avenge a loss from a season ago against the Aggies.

The Bobcats sport a 29-20 overall record heading into Tuesday's showdown. The team will make its first appearance at Texas A&M's newly renovated Blue Bell Park, which opened prior to this season.

After winning two of three games against UTSA over the weekend, the Bobcats secured their place in the Southland Conference Tournament and will now look to finish the regular season strong. Following their Tuesday game in College Station, the team will head to Natchitoches, La., for a three-game set against Northwestern State for their final games before the postseason begins.

Texas A&M brings a 37-14 overall record into the game with the Bobcats after the Aggies swept San Diego State last weekend in a series that featured an Aggie no-hitter on Saturday.

Texas State trails the all-time series against Texas A&M, 38-12, with the Bobcats last win against the Aggies coming in 2010 when head coach Ty Harrington's club won by a 6-5 final.

Live video of the game will be available through the Texas A&M athletics website, www.aggieathletics.com, while live stats and a radio broadcast of the action can be accessed through www.TxStateBobcats.com. Twitter users can also follow the Bobcats at @TxStateBaseball for frequent in-game updates.
