Texas State Plays Host To Northwestern State On Monday Morning At 11:00 In A Battle Between Unbeaten Southland Conference Teams

San Marcos, Texas – In a match between two of the unbeaten women's tennis teams in the Southland Conference, Texas State will play host to Northwestern State on Monday, March 12 at the Bobcat Tennis Complex. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
 
The match was originally scheduled for Saturday morning, but was postponed until Monday due to rain in the San Marcos area.
 
Texas State enters the match with a 7-1 overall record and a 3-0 mark versus Southland Conference teams after defeating Central Arkansas, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon in San Marcos.
 
The Bobcats enter Monday's match with a 36-12 combined record in singles dual matches this season and are 21-3 in doubles matches overall this spring.
 
Jessica Kahts and Melissa Hadad have teamed up to win all seven of their No. 1 doubles matches. Rachel Baldree and Mariana Perez own a 6-0 record in No. 3 doubles matches this spring, while Gabriela Rojas and Bérénice Van den Bergh are 4-2 in No. 2 doubles matches.
 
Kahts owns a 6-2 singles record in No. 1 matches, while Hadad is 6-1 in No. 2 singles matches. Baldree owns a 5-2 mark in No. 3 matches, while Rojas is 5-1 in No. 4 matches. Perez has a 7-1 overall singles record that includes a 4-1 mark in No. 6 singles matches.
 
Northwestern State is 6-1 overall and 2-0 against SLC teams. The Demons are led by Olga Bazhanova, who owns a 7-0 record in No. 1 singles matches and No. 1 doubles. Her doubles partner is Polina Konop. Konop is 6-1 in singles matches, with a 3-1 record in No. 3 singles matches and 3-0 in No. 4 matches.  In addition, Tatiana Larina and Andrea Nedorostova own a 6-1 mark as the No. 2 doubles team. Larina has a 4-1 record in No. 2 singles matches and a 5-2 overall record.
