Prairie View, Texas – The Texas State women's tennis team won its fourth straight match with a decisive 7-0 victory at Prairie View A&M on Tuesday afternoon. 
 
The Bobcats jumped out quickly against Prairie View A&M by sweeping the three doubles matches to capture the team point. In the No.1 match, Jessica Kahts and Melissa Hadad defeated Raven Lewis and Lerato Ndlovu 8-4. The No. 2 group had Gabriela Rojas and Bérénice Van den Bergh facing Brittany Harrell and Alejandra Barrera, the Bobcats took the match 8-3. Mariana Perez and Rachel Baldree squared off with Erika Bond and J. Daniels for an 8-1 win.
 
In singles matches, Kahts defeated Harrell in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 to win the  No. 1 match. The No. 2 match saw Hadad defeat Lewis by a score of  6-2, 6-4.
 
In the No. 3 match Baldree beat Ndlovu 6-3, 7-5 while Rojas defeated Barrera 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 4 pairing.

Perez won the No. 5 match by a score of 6-0, 6-1 over Jade Daniels and Francesca Bernes shut Alexandria Young 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 6 match. In a final exhibition match, Bérénice Van den Bergh defeated Capra Fellows 8-0 in a single set match.

The victory improves Texas State record to 4-1 this spring before the Bobcats play their first Southland Conference match at Lamar on March 3 at 11:00 a.m. in Beaumont. Texas State also travels to McNeese State on March 4 for a match that begins at 11:00 a.m.
