Notes
San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State soccer team plays just one game this week, hosting Louisiana Tech on Friday, Oct. 12. It is the third straight year the two teams have met, and the second straight year the Bobcats have hosted the Lady Techsters.
Last year the Bobcats beat La. Tech for the first time since 2005, when Taylor Kelley scored in overtime for the only goal of the game, giving the team a 1-0 victory.
Texas State enters the weekend 2-2. The Bobcats have split both of their conference weekends so far, winning each Friday game, before losing on Sundays. Last Friday against San Jose State, Lynsey Curry scored a career-high two goals, in the Bobcats 3-1 win. The Bobcats are tied for second in the WAC in scoring during conference only games, with five goals.
Louisiana Tech comes into Friday's game 10-1-3. The Lady Techsters were able to hold No. 19 Denver to a 1-1 draw in Ruston last Friday. They also beat New Mexico State 1-0 on Sunday. The 1-0-1 start in WAC play is the best for La. Tech in program history.
