San Marcos, Texas - The Texas State soccer team begins the first of a six-game homestand on Friday night against future WAC opponent La Tech. The Bobcats are home until Oct. 14 when they travel to Northwestern State.

Last weekend Texas State fell in a closely contested contest, 2-0 at Baylor. The Bears were held scoreless for the first 45 minutes, before scoring twice in the second half.

La. Tech enters Friday's game with a record of 5-1-3. The lady Techsters only loss was to fellow Southland Conference school McNeese State.

The meeting on Friday marks the second straight year the two schools have played. La. Tech won the meeting in Ruston last year, while the Bobcats won the first meeting between the two in San Marcos, 2-0. in 2005.
