Game Notes

San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State baseball team will have an opportunity for a big win on Tuesday when the team heads up to Fort Worth for a match-up with No. 11 TCU. The game, Texas State's fifth against a ranked opponent this season, is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Lupton Stadium.

The Bobcats enter Tuesday's game with a 15-4 record following a three-game sweep of Sam Houston State a weekend ago. TCU is currently 12-7 after taking two-of-three against UNLV last weekend.

For the second straight Tuesday, the Bobcats will send senior Lee Colon (1-2, 3.63 ERA) to the mound. The lefty will make his fifth start of the season. Last Tuesday, Colon limited No. 5 Texas to just one earned run while striking out five over five innings.

TCU has named freshman Andrew Mitchell (1-0, 0.39 ERA) its starter for Tuesday.

The Horned Frogs have won the last seven games against Texas State and hold a 23-11 advantage in the all-time series. The last Bobcat win against TCU came in 2006 when the Bobcats won 5-1 in Fort Worth.

The game will be broadcast on the radio locally in San Marcos on 89.9 KTSW and on the internet at www.txstatebobcats.com/radio. Live stats will be provided through www.txstatebobcats.com/live_stats and video will be available through TCU's athletics website, www.gofrogs.com/allaccess.
