San Marcos, Texas
- Texas State notched their second straight victory as they shut out Prairie View A&M 4-0. The win gives the Bobcats their second straight shutout. The Bobcats improve to 4-4-0 on the season, while PVAMU drops to 1-7-0.

Texas State jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a goal by Britney Curry 43 seconds into the match. Curry made the goal from five yards out after an assist by Kelsey Bernard. The Bobcat offense continued its strike as Taylor Person scored in the 16th minute off a penalty kick.

“It's always good to get into a rhythm, but we still have to keep working hard and play Bobcat soccer,” said head coach Kat Connor.

Curry then scored her second goal of the game after she dribbled past the PVAMU defense to score from the left side. With the Bobcats up 3-0, Serena Hines decided to join in on the scoring spree, as the sophomore forward netted a goal from 10 yards out to put the Bobcats ahead entering the half.

“Britney is working really hard and she's doing a really good job of finishing. Her goals were well deserved,” said Connor. “Others are going to start finding the back of the net too. Serena had a big goal. It's all going to start coming together and start rolling.”

Texas State held the Lady Panthers to zero shots in the first half. The Bobcats continued their attack in the second half, taking 10 shots total in the second half. Texas State's defense was still on top of their game in the second half as they held PVAMU to no shots in the second.

The Bobcats will begin the first of three straight away games when they travel to Houston to face Houston Baptist on Sunday, Sept. 19, and return to Bobcat Soccer Complex on October 8 against Central Arkansas.
