SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State softball will play its final home games of the season this week, with a three game series against Coastal Carolina. The first game will be April 24 at 6 pm.
The series is part of Senior Weekend with the Bobcats' eight graduating seniors being honored throughout the weekend.
Texas State will honor four of its seniors,
Sami Hood,
Keely Williams,
Aiyana Coleman and
Emma Strood on April 25. The following day, April 26, the team will honor
Megan Kelnar,
Sydney Harvey,
Karmyn Bass and
Analisa Soliz.

ABOUT THE BOBCATS:
Texas State is coming off a 34-19 campaign which included a Sun Belt Conference Regular Season Championship and were named Preseason Favorites in the Sun Belt Conference Coaches Poll. Texas State returns 96.8% of its innings pitched and 75.5% of its at-bats from the 2025, championship winning season.

Ricci Woodard is in her 26th season at the helm of Texas State softball. In her tenure, Woodard has 14 conference championships and 11 NCAA Regional appearances and enters the weekend with 909 career wins.
Headed into the weekend, Texas State has a 31-18 record coming off a midweek loss against Coastal Carolina.
Currently leading the batting order for the Bobcats is Williams who's hitting .396 this season, followed by
Harley Vestal at .341. They are two of three Bobcats hitting over .300 this season. In addition to them it is
Aiyana Coleman (.340) and Kate Bubela is just shy of .300 at .291.
In the circle for the Bobcats is a 1-2 punch from Maddy Azua and
Emma Strood. Azua is coming off a two-win week to make her 21-10 on the season, the junior now having back-to-back 20-win seasons. Strood is boasting a 2.13 ERA through 82.1 innings of work so far this year.
ABOUT THE CHANTICLEERS:
Coastal Carolina comes into the week with a 22-26 record on the year, sitting at 6-12 in Sun Belt play. They are coming off a three-game series where they were swept by Louisiana.
The Chanticleers have four batters batting over .300 this season, led by Brie Normandin at .380. She has 54 hits, 29 runs, and 23 RBI this season. Towards the top of the Chanticleers order is Georgia Hood at .355, Kaelin Cash at .327 and Delaney Keith at .322.
Kate Ryan leads the bullpen for the Chanticleers with a 5.01 ERA in 51.2 innings of work. She is followed by McKennah Metzger at a 5.52 in 66.0 innings.
