SAN MARCOS, Texas – The 2027 Texas State Softball season is just around the corner as the Bobcats announced their inaugural Pac-12 conference schedule on Thursday.
The 2027 season looks to continue the success in 2026 that featured Texas State's 13th trip to the NCAA Tournament after earning an at-large bid.
The 2027 Pac-12 schedule features three home and three away series, beginning with a trip to Logan, Utah to take on the Aggies, March 25-27. Texas State last faced Utah State in the shortened 2020 season and suffered a 2-4 loss. The Bobcats are 3-6 all-time against the Aggies but take the away record, 2-1.
Following their trip to Utah, the Bobcats return to the Bobcat Softball Complex to host Oregon State from April 9-11. The April series against the Beavers will be Oregon State's first-ever trip to San Marcos. Texas State is 1-2 all-time against Oregon State and last played against the Beavers in 2022, losing 1-6.
After their home-opening series against Oregon State, Texas State Softball heads to Freson, Calif., to take on the Bulldogs of Fresno State, April 16-18. Texas State has never played Fresno State anywhere other than neutral sites as the trip in April will be the Bobcats' first-ever trip to Fresno. The last time the two teams faced off was in 2013 when the Bobcats defeated the Bulldogs 6-1.
Though they return from California, the Bobcats host another team from California in San Diego State, April 23-25. The three-game series in April will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2014. San Diego State's trip to San Marcos will also be a first for the Aztecs. In 2014, the Bobcats took the victory, 4-2.
The last road trip of the season will be to Boise, Idaho against the Boise State Broncos on April 30-May 2. Texas State has only played Boise State one time in program history in a 6-2 win on neutral territory in 2022.
Texas State rounds out its first-ever Pac-12 schedule with a series against Colorado State, May 6-8. The Bobcats have played the Rams more than any other Pac-12 member, with a 5-7 all-time record. The two programs will face off in San Marcos for the sixth time in program history. The Bobcats are currently on a five-game win streak against the Rams and have a 3-2 record when on the road.
The conference season concludes at the Pac-12 Softball Tournament at the Bobcat Softball Complex from May 12-15.
First pitch times and broadcast information for all games, including non-conference home contests, will be announced at a later date ahead of the start of the season.
