SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State softball and head coach Ricci Woodard announced Monday the addition of a game against #2 Texas Tech to the 2026 schedule. The game will be April 15 at 6 pm in Bobcat Softball Stadium.

Tickets will go on sale at txst.com/tickets Tuesday, March 31 at 9 am. Additionally, the game will be broadcast on ESPN+. 

This will be the 41^st meeting between the two teams, the 24^th in San Marcos. The last time Texas Tech came to Bobcat Softball Stadium was Feb. 18, 2024, when Texas State won 8-1. Texas State is 10-13 all-time against Texas Tech inside Bobcat Softball Stadium.

Texas State softball goes on the road to at UTSA on Tuesday, March 31 this week before a road trip to South Alabama. The team's next home game will be April 7 at 6 pm in a rematch against the Roadrunner for the Battle of I-35.
