Last Time Out
SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule by placing ninth at the Jim West Challenge at Kissing Tree Golf Course in San Marcos, Texas. Freshman Grace Quintanilla led the Bobcat lineup, finishing 2-under and in a tie for 14th place. As team, the Bobcats (298-292-285--875) finished +11.

Quintanilla (74-71-69--214) led the lineup for the second time this season, this time with her best effort of 2025. The freshman went 2-under, including a pair of rounds under par and a team-leading 11 birdies. Individual Briana LeMaire (72-72-70--214) also turned in a season-best performance to close the fall, staying consistent at even par across the first 36 and going 2-under on the final day to finish tied for 14th. She tied for the field lead with three eagles, including two on the final 18

Yvonne Chamness (75-69-72--216) and Mana Hersperger (72-75-72--219) were both in the top 25 for TXST, finishing 20th and tied for 25th, respectively. Chamness' second round 69 extended her team leading rounds in the 60s to seven. Rounding out the Bobcat lineup were Fia Lindblom (T56,+11) and Ella Salama (T72, +24).

Sun Belt Standout
Twice this season, Texas State's Yvonne Chamness has been named the Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week. The senior picked up accolades following the season-opening Sam Golden Invitational as well as after the Ron Moore Collegiate. Chamness has led TXST in two of four tournaments this season, finishing tied for second at both of her SBC-recognized outings. She has a team-best 70.6 adjusted scoring average this season and leads the team with seven rounds in the 60s as well as nine rounds even or under par.

International Duty
Freshman Grace Quintanilla was unavailable for the TXST lineup at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in October while representing the Philippines at the 31st Espirito Santo Trophy/World Amateur Team Championship. She competed alongside 2024 All-Sun Belt selection Junia Gabasa, who helped lead the Bobcats to the 2024 Sun Belt Championship. Quintanilla helped the Philippines to a tie for seventh place, coming in at even par and tied for 31st individually.
