SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State softball returns home for a midweek meeting with I-35 Rival UTSA as part of Show 'Em State Night inside Bobcat Softball Stadium.
First pitch will be at 5 pm with tickets available at txst.com/tickets or fans can tune in on ESPN+.
Texas State comes into the weekend with an 20-8 record, having a 4-2 record in Sun Belt action after a series at Coastal Carolina. The Bobcats come into the week off a 14-12 comeback win over the Chanticleers.

Texas State is coming off a 47-win campaign and an appearance in the NCAA College Station Regional after winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in 2024. The Bobcats were selected to finish 1
st in the Sun Belt Conference Preseason poll.

Erin Peterson leads the freshmen with 28 consecutive starts at shortstop, butÂ
Mayson Garrett (22 starts) has also made her mark on the team early in her freshmen campaign.
The Bobcats currently have six players batting above .300, led by
Aiyana Coleman at .391. Coleman leads the team in hits (27), home runs (10) and RBI (27). Rounding out the top of the order is
Bailee Slack (.351),
Keely Williams (.333) and
Ciara Trahan (.320).

ABOUT THE ROADRUNNERS:
UTSA comes into the week with a 14-16record on the season, with a 2-7 record so far in American Athletic Conference action. The Roadrunners are coming off a 13-5 loss to Wichita State in five innings of Sunday. They lost the series with the Shockers.

The Roadrunners have three batters batting above .300 this season, highlighted by Sabrina Wick who's batting .343 with 35 hits, 19 runs and 11 RBI so far. Rounding out the top of their order is Skylar Rucker (.329) and Jaylen Prichard (.329).

The Roadrunners most effective pitcher is Reagan Stoudt who leads the team with a 3.80 ERA in 19 appearances so far. The Roadrunners tend to pitch by committee with six pitchers splitting the 200.2 innings so far, no pitcher tossing more than 45 innings.Â
The Roadrunners will host Texas A&M – Corpus Christi on Tuesday night before coming to San Marcos.
