SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's golf returns to action for the penultimate tournament of the fall portion of the schedule as it takes on the field at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate hosted by Denver at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch.
Tournament action runs Friday through Sunday with a waterfall start at 9:30 a.m. CT/8:30 a.m. MT on Friday and Saturday and 9:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Sunday.

NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Texas State women's golf team battled weather and closed out the Schooner Fall Classic in 12th place with freshman
Grace Quintanilla leading the way after 54 holes of action. The tournament was originally scheduled across three days from Sept. 20-22, but was played over two due to weather.
Quintanilla opened the tournament by carding a 67 on the par-70 course and closed out day one at with a +1 second round. After a 2-over 72 final round, Quintanilla finished the tournament at even par, good to tie for 21st place.
As a team, TXST finished 12th at 9-over 849, which included a 269-tournament low round on the first 18. Oklahoma State won the event at -18, while TCU was second at -11 and host Oklahoma third at -8.
Sun Belt Standout
Yvonne Chamness picked up the first Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week accolades of the 2025-26 season (Sept. 11) after leading the Bobcats at the season-opening Sam Golden Invitational. The senior finished tied for second at the first tournament of the season, firing three rounds in the 60s en route to a 10-under, 206 performance. Chamness carded 12 birdies and an eagle at the event and finished -7 on par 4s, the second-best score of the tournament.

Grace Quintanilla is unavailable for the TXST lineup while representing the Philippines at the 31st Espirito Santo Trophy/World Amateur Team Championship. She is competing alongside 2024 All-Sun Belt selection Junia Gabasa, who helped lead the Bobcats to the 2024 Sun Belt Championship.
Quintanilla has been in the lineup for both tournaments in 2025, leading the team at the Schooner Fall Classic.

The Bobcats are coming off a 2024-25 season that saw them post three, top three team finishes including championship performances at the Texas State Invitational (February 3-4) and Cardinal Challenge (March 31-April 1).
Individually,
Yvonne Chamness punched her ticket to the NCAA Lubbock Regional and eventually finished tied for 24th. She was also named to the Sun Belt Conference First Team after finishing sixth at the SBC Championship. Following the season, three Bobcats were named College Sports Communications Academic All-District selections, while four were named WGCA Scholar All-Americans.
TXST opened the 2025-26 season with a seventh place finish at the Sam Golden Invitational and most recently placed 12th at the Schooner Fall Classic.
