NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Texas State women's golf team completed day one of action at the Schooner Fall Classic hosted by Oklahoma at the Belmar Golf Club.
 
Fia Lindblom, who is playing in her first tournament of the young season, leads the Bobcats at even par 70 after the first 18 holes, good for a tie for 16th. One stroke back from Lindblom at 1-over is teammate Mattingly Palmer, placing her tied for 28th.
 
Yvonne Chamness finished the day 5-over 75, while Allie Justiz and Ella Salama rounded out the group, at +7 and +8, respectively.
 
As a team, the Bobcats finished 13-over on the day. Auburn leads the 16-team field after the first round, with Houston and TCU in the top three.
 
Action resumes Sunday for round two with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. CT.
