SAN MARCOS, Texas – The backend of the five-match road swing starts off on Thursday for Texas State (3-3-2) when it faces McNeese (3-5-0) on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Cowgirl Field.

About Texas State
The Bobcats are coming off a dramatic 2-2 draw at Baylor on Sunday. After taking the lead on a Victoria Meza goal in the 54th minute, the Bears would score twice to retake the lead. Helen Alormenu capped off her collegiate debut with her first career goal that came with 11 seconds left on the clock.
 
Mady Soumare continues to pace the Sun Belt Conference with two match-winning goals and is second with four goals. Finding the back of the net twice this season has been Sydney Bassa, Mya Ulloa and Meza. A team leading two assists has been credited to Zoe Junior, Maire Philipzen, Kaylie Smith and Ulloa, who is now tied for 10th in team history with 12 career assists.
 
Between the posts, Caitlyn Draper heads into Thursday's match with a 0.86 GAA. She leads the Sun Belt with 37 saves and is second with a .881 save percentage. Also seeing action in goal has been Katelyn Chrisman, who has made nine saves in three contests and nearly 200 minutes of action.
 
About McNeese
The Cowgirls head into Thursday on a two-match winning streak with wins at home over Louisiana Christian and Texas Southern. For the season, McNeese is 3-1-0 at home with the other victory being over Jackson State and the lone loss coming in the season opener to Louisiana.
 
Scoring a team leading two goals has been Salma Elhaimer, Kalie Kukaua and Morgan Schooley. The Cowgirls have recorded 10 assists on the year with one apiece to 10 different athletes.
 
In goal Jackie Kelly has started all eight matches. The senior comes in with 47 saves, a .758 save percentage and a 2.04 GAA. Celeste Marijnissen made her collegiate debut against Louisiana Christian and played the final 45 minutes. She stopped both shots that the Lady Wildcats put on frame.
 
Series History
Texas State leads the all-time series 18-11-1. Last season saw the Bobcats win 3-1 at home in the season opener. That victory snapped TXST's six-match losing streak in the series.
 
When playing in Lake Charles, the Bobcats are 5-5-1 all-time with the last contest on Aug. 24, 2018 being a 2-1 defeat. Texas State's most recent win on the road a 1-0 overtime match on Oct. 17, 2010.
