Lincoln Pare Named to CSC 2024 Comeback Player of the Year Watch List

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State running back Lincoln Pare was chosen to the College Sports Communicators Watch List for the 2024 Comeback Player of the Year award on Wednesday.

The award is in association with the Associated Press (AP) and the Fiesta Bowl Organization. Pare is one of 90 players on the list, and one of just four from the Sun Belt Conference. He is the only Bobcat on the list.

Pare missed the entirety of the 2023 season due to a lower body injury suffered during the summer.

After joining the Bobcats in 2022, Pare was the team's leading rusher with 772 rushing yards on 172 carries. He played in all 12 games including seven starts where he tallied 29 receptions for 209 yards and had 64.3 rushing yards per game, the 9th best in the Sun Belt that season.

The Comeback Player of the Year award has recognized college football student-athletes for overcoming injury, illness, or other circumstances.  At the conclusion of each season, in a vote by a panel of college football writers, editors, and sports information directors, three college football student-athletes are honored as Comeback Player of the Year Award winners at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.

Season tickets and single-game tickets for the 2024 Texas State football season are on sale now at TXST.com/tickets.
