SAN MARCOS, Texas āĀ For the ninth-consecutive season the women's tennis team earned All-Academic Team honors the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced Monday. Along with the team honors, five members of the women's tennis team were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Emma Carr,
Emily Niers and
Mae McCutcheon were the members of the team who were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.Ā

Creath earned the ITA honor for the fourth time in her career, while Fortuno and McCutcheon have now earned the honor for the third-consecutive time. This also marks the second time that Carr and Niers have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes.Ā

Kendall Brooks this marks her sixth ITA All-Academic team overall and second at Texas State University.Ā

To be eligible for the ITA All-Academic Team award, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above on a 4.00 scale for the current academic year. To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.00 scale for the current academic year.Ā
