Box Score MOBILE, Alabama – South Alabama kept the Bobcats from the series sweep with a 3-2 walk-off win on Saturday afternoon. Despite the Bobcats pulling ahead 2-1 in the top of the inning, the Jaguars hit a walk-off single to right center to win the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Hannah Earls started things off with her third-straight leadoff single of the series to get on base. She'd advance to second on a wild pitch.
JJ Smith was also walked, but the two runners would be stranded on first after
Karmyn Bass struck out.

Mullins started in the circle and got two strikeouts to start the inning. Before the inning could end, though, South Alabama got on the scoreboard first with a two-out RBI single.

Neither side added any runs in the 2
nd inning, though each team got a runner on base.
Kamden Hutton was walked for the Bobcats, while Marley Sims got on from a hit by pitch.

Similarly in the third, neither side added a run. The Bobcats went three up, three down in the fourth but responded well in the bottom of the inning, turning a double play on a lineout to end the inning without allowing any runs.

The Bobcat defense was able to turn a second double play in the bottom of the 5
th, and Mullins struck out a third batter to end the inning without allowing the Jaguars to score. Headed to the 6
th the Bobcats still needed a run.

Ciara Trahan started off the inning doubling to right field. She'd go on to score on
JJ Smith's at-bat, tying the game up in the 6
th inning.

After Mullins struck out the side in the bottom of the 6th, Hutton would score on a throwing error to go up 2-1.

In the final inning, though, the Jaguars were able to pull back two runs. They got back-to-back singles to the right side and were able to walk-off the win from them. This was Mullins just fourth loss of the season.

The Bobcats will return home for a midweek game with Baylor on Wednesday, April 3 at 6 pm. The team will host Troy for a weekend series April 5-7.
