MOBILE, Ala. – Sakke Siltala shot 4 under 67 on Monday – the lowest second round by any player in the 80-person field – and three Bobcats were in the top-five of the leaderboard after day two of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at the Magnolia Grove – Falls Course (Par 71, 7,239 yards) as the Bobcats remain in the lead going into the final round.

Texas State, which entered the day in first place, increased its team lead to eight strokes with a second-round score of 4 under 280. It was the best second round score by any team.

The Bobcats are 11 under for the tournament (277-280; 557) and up eight shots over second-place Illinois State (3 under 565; 284-281). Texas State and Illinois State are the only two teams under par for the tournament.

Siltala, a sophomore from Finland, used the 4-under second round to improve his tournament score to 6 under 136 (69-67). He has a one stroke lead over Valparaiso's Caleb VanArragon and teammate
Pieter Rossouw Jr.

Rossouw Jr. entered the second round tied for the lead and shot a 2 under 69 on Monday.

Marcelo Garza is tied for fifth with a 1 under 70 in the second round and 2 under 140 (70-70) for the tournament.

Jack Burke and
Kasper Nyland, other members of the Texas State lineup, are tied for 28th. Nyland shot 3 over 74 on Monday to score for the Bobcats.

Terrin Anderson, who is competing as an individual, climbed the leaderboard with a 3 under 68 in the second round. He is 3 over 145 for the tournament.

Texas State will defend its lead in Tuesday's final round, which is tentatively set to start at 10 am. The teams started the third round on Monday in anticipation of rain in the forecast, but they will finish it on Tuesday morning. Live scoring will be available on
