SAN MARCOS, Texas – Head Coach 
Ricci Woodard and Texas State softball have announced the 2025 Bobcat Softball schedule. The 54-game slate sees 33 games inside Bobcat Softball Stadium, including 16-straight home games to start the season.
 
Texas State will start the year against Arkansas inside Bobcat Softball Stadium at 5 pm on February 6
th.
 
The Bobcats will host three tournaments this season. The first being the Texas State Tournament from Feb. 6-9 where the Bobcats will host Arkansas, San Diego, Lipscomb and Bradley.
 
The second tournament, the Bobcat Tournament, will run Feb. 13-16 and the Bobcats will host SFA, St. Thomas, Fordham and New Mexico. The Bobcats will then host Sam Houston in a midweek meeting on Feb. 19.
 
Closing out the home tournaments will be the San Marcos Classic where the Bobcats will host Creighton, SIU and Kansas.
 
Following the three home tournaments the Bobcats will go to College Station for the Texas A&M Invitational. There they will play the hosts, Princeton, George Washington, Texas Tech and Idaho State. 
 
Also coming to Bobcat Ballpark for non-conference meetings in 2025 is Missouri State (3/7-3/8), Wichita State (3/19), and UTSA (3/26). Other non-conference road games include at Texas (4/9), at Baylor (4/22), at UTSA (4/15) and at Sam Houston (4/2).
 
In conference play Texas State will start the year hosting App State from March 14-16 before going to Conway for meetings with Coastal Carolina from March 21-23. The Bobcats will then host South Alabama on April 4-6 and go to Southern Miss from April 11-13.
 
Closing out conference play the Bobcats will host Louisiana for a series from April 25-27, the first meeting between the two sides since the Bobcats 2024 Sun Belt Conference Championship.
 
To close out the regular season, Texas State will go to ULM from May 1-3.
 
The 2025 Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held at Troy from May 7-10.
