NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference offices announced Wednesday morning that Texas State setter Ryann Torres was named Sun Belt Setter of the Week for the final week of the regular season.

Torres showed out against James Madison with an average of 10.71 assists per set. She tallied her 75 assists in seven sets of work and helped the Bobcats to a team-attack percentage of .283 this weekend, which was the second best in the conference this week. 
 
Torres counted a double-double in the Bobcats four-setter with James Madison, getting 44 assists and 11 digs while adding six kills and three blocks to her stat line for a complete-game performance. Torres also recorded 31 assists in three sets on her Senior Night to help the Bobcats to a sweep over the Dukes, helping the team to an attack percentage of .323.

This is Torres's third Sun Belt Setter of the Week Award this season, but the fourth of her career at Texas State. She was also named Sun Belt Setter of the Week in Week 2 of the 2023 season and two times prior this season. Additionally, Torres was named to the Sun Belt All-Conference team in 2023.

Texas State will start their 2024 Sun Belt Conference Tournament run on Friday, Nov. 22 at 11 am versus the James Madison Dukes. The match can be streamed on ESPN+.
