SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's golf team is back in action Friday-Sunday at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Denver at the UD Golf Course at Highlands Ranch.
The Bobcats are part of the 15-team field that includes Denver, Colorado State, New Mexico, UNLV, Minnesota, Hawai'i, Colorado, San Diego State, Xavier, Tulane, Kansas State, Middle Tennessee, Wichita State and Wyoming.
Texas State will be paired with Minnesota and Hawai'i with tee times starting from No. 1 at 10:20 a.m. CT/9:20 a.m. MT.

The tournament is the third of the season for TXST, which opened action with a 12th place finish at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational. Chamness led the Bobcats at the event, finishing tied for 12th at 3-over. Most recently, Texas state finished 15th at the weather-shortened Schooner Fall Classic, led by Lindblom at 4-over.
The Bobcats captured the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Championship, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Bryan Regional. Head Coach
Par Nilsson was named the Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year, while
Hailey Jones took home the league's newcomer of the year honor, and three Bobcats earned all-conference accolades including Jones,
Junia Gabasa and Chamness. Texas State posted five top five tournament finishes during the 2023-24 season, including a pair of wins.
Looking ahead, the Bobcats return home for the first time this season to host the Jim West Challenge Oct. 20-21 at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos.
