SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State women's golf team will host the Jim West Challenge Sunday and Monday at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos.
The Bobcats will welcome squads from North Texas, TCU, UNLV, Oklahoma, Houston, Texas Tech, Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Nebraska, New Mexico and UTSA for the event.
Action opens both days with an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start. TXST is paired with Houston and UNLV to open play.

Texas State is coming off its best finish of the season after tying for sixth at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Yvonne Chamness was named the Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Week after securing a second-place finish at the event.
Chamness matched her career best finish in tournament action posting three rounds in the 60s, including tying a career-low 68 in the opening round to card a 10-under over 54 holes, also good for her personal best score to par.
The Bobcats captured the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Championship, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Bryan Regional. Head Coach

Hailey Jones took home the league's newcomer of the year honor, and three Bobcats earned all-conference accolades including Jones,
Junia Gabasa and Chamness. Texas State posted five top five tournament finishes during the 2023-24 season, including a pair of wins.
