JONESBORO, AR — Texas State women's basketball will finish its four-game road trip with visits to Arkansas State and ULM. The Bobcats game with ULM will serve as
Gara Beth Self's first and only return to Monroe since transferring to Texas State.

SERIES HISTORY
- The Bobcats have won 10 of the 19 meetings with Arkansas State, including the last two meetings in the 2022-23 season when the Bobcats won by 89-55 and 86-79 score lines. The last time the Bobcats lost was in back-to-back meetings in Jonesboro in 2021.
- ULM has the advantage in the series with the Warhawks all time, winning 33 of the 61 meetings, but the Bobcats have had recent success against ULM. Texas State has won each of the last eight meetings between the two sides, including both in the 2022-23 season.
MEET THE ROSTER
- Ja'Niah Henson came to Texas State after four years at Morgan State. She's averaging 14.3 points per game, the most of any Bobcat. In the Bobcats game against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, she scored her 1000th career point as well. She is amongst the best free-throw shooters in the nation.
- Gara Beth Self transferred to Texas State after playing four years at ULM. Saturday's game against the Warhawks will be the graduate transfers' first time facing her old school since her transfer.
- The Bobcats also brought in Western Kentucky transfer Jaylin Foster. Both Foster and Self have been consistent members of the starting five for the Bobcats in each of the games so far this season.
- Tiffany Tullis and Crystal Smith join the Bobcats after two years at Blinn Junior College where the pair reached the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship tournament. Tullis has started in all of the Bobcats games so far this season.
- The Bobcats had four players returning to the team this season including seniors Sierra Dickson, Nicole Leff and Morgan Hill. Dickson and Leff are the only seniors on the roster who have played their full four years at Texas State. Additionally, sophomore Kennedy Claybrooks is amongst the returners.
- The Bobcats also have two freshman, Julia Coleman and Emillia Steele.
ABOUT THE RED WOLVES
- The Red Wolves are 7-6 this season, 1-2 in conference play and are 10th in the Sun Belt Conference so far.
- Leading the way for the Red Wolves is head coach Destinee Rogers who is in her 3rd season with the program. She has a 28-35 record all-time with the program.
- Izzy Higginbottom leads the scoring for the Red Wolves as she averages 21.7 points a night. Higginbottom is also good for 4.4 rebounds a night and 2.6 assists.
- Leading the boards for Arkansas State is Wynter Rogers who is averaging 6.5 rebounds a night. She's also good for 4.8 points a night.
ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
- The Warhawks are 9-5 this season, 1-2 in conference play and are 9th in the Sun Belt Conference so far.
- Leading the way for the Warhawks is head coach Missy Bilderback who is in her 1st season with the program. She has a 9-5 record all-time with the program.
- Daisha Bradford leads the scoring for the Warhawks, averaging 21.4 points per game. ULM has three players averaging 10+ points per game, Jakayla Johnson (13.7) and Katlyn Manuel (10.0) are amongst the team's leading scorers.
- Bradford also leads the team in rebounds where she averages 7.9 per night.
RANKINGS & RECORDS
- Ja'Niah Henson is first in the Sun Belt Conference and 8th in the nation for her free throw shooting. The graduate student is 55-60 from the line this season for a .917 shooting percentage.
- Henson is also 11th in the Sun Belt for her 14.3 point per game average.
- Tiffany Tullis is 7th in the conference for rebounds with 111 so far this season.
- The Bobcats are the best three-point shooting team in the Sun Belt Conference, shooting 36.5% from beyond the arc.
- Texas State is also amongst the best defenses in the Bobcats, the second best in the conference while allowing opponents just 58.5 points a night.
WHATS ON THE HORIZON?
- Following the trip to Arkanas State and ULM the Bobcats will return home for a game Jan 18 versus Troy at 7 p.m.. Then on Jan. 20 the Bobcats will again see Arkansas State inside Strahan Arena.
- The only remaining non-conference game for the Bobcats will be on Feb. 10 against a to-be-determined MAC opponent for the second part of the MAC-SBC Challenge. This game will be on the road since the Sun Belt women's teams played at home for the first part of the MAC-SBC Challenge. The opponent will be determined based on NET Rankings in January.
