SAN MARCOS, Texas – Levi Bell,
Nelson Mbanasor and
London Harris all earned undrafted free agent opportunities following the 2023 NFL Draft.

Bell signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent while Mbanasor will join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Harris earned an invite to the rookie minicamp for the Indianapolis Colts, which is taking place this weekend May 5-6. All three were key members of the 2022 Texas State defense that ranked among the best in the program's FBS history.

The breakout star for the Bobcats in 2022, Bell joins the Ravens after being named a PFF All-American and All-Sun Belt Second Team as a defensive lineman last season. He played in all 12 games, including 11 starts, and totaled 66 tackles, 13.5 TFLs, 5.0 sacks and seven quarterback hurries. The Cedar Park, Texas native finished fourth in the Sun Belt in TFLs and had 41 total pressures according to PFF – which were the ninth-most in the country among defensive linemen. His TFLs were also a school FBS record for most in a season.
Bell transferred to Texas State in 2022 after spending the previous two seasons at Louisiana Tech. He also played collegiately at Tyler Junior College (TX) in 2019 and College of Idaho (NAIA) in 2018. He was selected in the 2023 USFL Draft by the Michigan Panthers in the sixth round, but he did not sign with the team.

Another breakout star in 2022, Mbanasor signed with the Buccaneers after playing in all 12 games last season for Texas State. He registered 34 tackles as a defensive lineman and led the team in sacks with 6.0. He also had 9.5 TFLs, three hurries, and two forced fumbles.

Mbanasor, out of Pflugerville, Texas, spent his first five seasons in college football at Texas Tech.

Harris, a six-year member of the Texas State program, had a career year in 2022 as a middle linebacker with a personal-best 81 tackles – second-most on the team – and 2.0 sacks. The Manvel High School (TX) product added 3.0 TFLs, including one in the Sun Belt opener at James Madison where he had 15 total tackles, which were the most by a Bobcat since 2020.

Harris played in 57 career games as a Bobcat and recorded 160 tackles. He moved to middle linebacker from outside linebacker starting with the 2022 season.
